1. General Conduct
- Students must hold a valid driver’s licence for the class of vehicle being used.
- Students must carry their licence at all times during lessons.
- Students must arrive on time for lessons. Lesson time lost due to lateness cannot be made up.
- Students must comply with all instructor directions and road rules at all times.
- Students must not attend lessons under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication that may impair driving ability.
2. Lesson Payments & Bookings
- Payment for lessons must be made in full at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed.
- Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to the lesson time. Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a cancellation fee equal to the cost of the booked lesson.
3. Vehicle Use & Responsibility
- The driving school vehicle is insured, registered, and maintained to a high safety standard.
- Students must operate the vehicle in a safe and responsible manner at all times.
- Any reckless or dangerous driving, refusal to follow instructor directions, or wilful misuse of the vehicle may result in immediate termination of the lesson without refund.
4. Accidents & Insurance
- In the event of an accident during a lesson, the instructor will take control of the situation to ensure safety and compliance with legal requirements.
- All accidents must be reported immediately to the driving school management.
- Our vehicles are covered by comprehensive insurance; however, if the accident is determined to have been caused by reckless or negligent behaviour by the student, the student (or parent/guardian if under 18) will be responsible for covering the insurance excess.
- Insurance Excess Amount: $1,000.00
- If damage is caused deliberately, the student will be liable for the full cost of repairs.
5. Health & Safety
- Students must wear appropriate footwear (no thongs or high heels).
- Seatbelts must be worn by all occupants at all times.
- Students must disclose any medical conditions or injuries that could affect driving ability.
6. Weather & Lesson Cancellations
- Lessons may be postponed in severe weather conditions if deemed unsafe by the instructor.
- Where possible, lessons will be rescheduled at the earliest convenience.
7. Privacy
- Personal information collected is used solely for lesson bookings, communication, and legal requirements.
- Information will not be shared with third parties without consent, except as required by law.
8. Acceptance of Terms
By booking and attending lessons with Accelerated Academy students agree to abide by these Rules & Policies.
